The CAEP-accredited Master of Arts in Educational Leadership prepares aspiring school leaders and administrators in PK-12 school districts. The fully online graduate program offers advanced administrative certification to obtain a standard New Jersey Supervisor Certificate, Principal Certificate and School Administrator Certificate. Take fully online courses with each course lasting for 7 weeks. You will develop professional preparation in school administration including supervision, leadership, assessment, decision making, student achievement, and school and community relations. Within two years, you will be prepared to broaden your career opportunities in preK-12 educational administration.

Building your career one course at a time

Students focus on one course per session allowing for rigorous course immersion. Each course lasts for seven weeks during which students build a strong academic background in the field of educational leadership. Students can earn their degree in two years without the stress of taking multiple courses simultaneously.

Classes are delivered purely online and blend both theory and practice. An asynchronous, online course schedule provides you with the convenience and flexibility you need to earn your degree and still balance life’s priorities.

What You Will Study

Credit Hours: 36 | Courses

For the MA in Educational Leadership, students must complete 36 credit hours.  Courses are offered sequentially during the fall, spring and summer. Students seeking to apply for the NJ principal and superintendent certification upon completion of the degree must register for ELAD 615 and ELAD 610. Post-Supervisor Certificate MA Completion Program

The MA completion program option is available to individuals who hold a NJ Supervisor Certificate.

By completing this 24-credit online program, you will earn your MA in Educational Leadership along with your Certificate of Eligibility for Principal. These added credentials will support your career growth and open up a number of new opportunities as you advance in your career.

The accelerated curriculum is taught fully online and each of the courses modules are 7 weeks in length. The 24-credit program also includes a 12-week and 16-week internship.

When applying, select Educational Leadership (M.A.) for the Academic Program and Online program (post-Supervisors Certificate) under Select Program Option. For more information, email Tara Campos.
